Model Initialisation vs. Simulation Run Initialisation

The technical circumstances of a simulation run should be distinguished from the material description of the initial state of the simulation run.

Under simulation run initialisation we understand the definition of the number of time steps and the number of agents of different kinds. In some cases it will be necessary to keep the proportion of the numbers of different agent types constant in order not to bias the model.

Under model initialisation we understand the definiton of the facts and the rules of the model (and in some cases also the relation of numbers of agents of different types).
