D 1.1 Stakeholder Identification and Community Builidng Strategy

This document lays out a longer-term strategy and agenda for the project in the second and third year of funding and beyond. Future development of the Policy Community is presented as a series of strategic views of the community as it develops a concise mission statement; the scope or areas of expertise covered through (a) the relevant academic disciplines, (b) recent EU funding and (c) the relevant ICT artefacts; relevant target groups that eGovPoliNet should engage with as potential beneficiaries of the Policy Community’s activities; and engagement with other EU supported networks or communities of interest. Finally, the document reports the online services the Policy Community needs to develop for members and the wider public.

This deliverable presents the eGovPoliNet portal (http://www.policy-community.eu/knowledge-portal); the methodology followed in order to develop the portal and its main functionality. D.2.2 is the final version of D.2.1 which was submitted as interim report at M12 of the eGovPoliNet project.

D 3.2 Community and Constituency Building Report Year 2

This deliverable documents how the project addressed the fragmentation of research communities, as well as the fragmentation caused by different disciplines. The second period’s report shows evidences of the growing of the common network where researchers and practitioners from different disciplines and countries interact. The means for interaction and collaboration have been conferences and workshops, PhD colloquia, webinars, discussions in LinkedIn and the development of a book with contributions from project partners as well as community members of distinct disciplinary backgrounds (in collaboration with WP 4). This way, the objectives of the work package in the overall project - to engage all stakeholder groups to work together in exchanging ideas and information – has been reached successfully. The report at hand provides an overview of activities and performance measurements to indicate the growing o the community.

D4.1 Multidisciplinary Framework for eGovPoliNet Knowledge Base

This document defines the multidisciplinary framework for the policy community’s knowledge base, which will serve as important instrument to establishing a dialogue, building consensus and drawing up common political agendas to promote the RTD and use of ICTs in the strategic planning and decision-making processes and in parliamentary and government environments thereby contributing to better governance and policy modelling. In the first part, a state of play analysis on knowledge bases and multidisciplinary frameworks was performed. Subsequently, the multidisciplinary framework is introduced, which consists of a data model to define the structure of the knowledge base, a process for knowledge collection and a set of templates for the analysis and added value creation of the knowledge base.

D 4.2 Synthesis Report of Knowledge Assets, including Visions

This report presents the work and progress on the development of knowledge assets and on future visions along work package 4 in the second period (15/08/2012 - 14/02/2014). Main works comprise of (1) a comparative analyses of state-of-art solutions for governance and policy modelling using ICT and a common evaluation framework for the analysis; (2) the development of a glossary; (3) the definition of a process for adding knowledge assets to the knowledge portal; and (4) the development of visionary scenarios for ICT in governance and policy modelling.

The report at hand documents the dissemination activities performed in eGovPoliNet over the first year of activity. This includes the definition of a proper dissemination strategy, the development of promotional material as well as the performance of dissemination activities and awareness raising through social media and newsletters.

D 5.2 Dissemination Report year 2, including initial business and exploitation plan

This report documents the dissemination activities carried out in eGovPoliNet over the second period. Activities include dissemination to distinct target groups and awareness raising through online and offline means: social media, newsletter and dissemination along events (such as workshops and conferences). Besides that, the development of the exploitation and sustainability plan was at focus and its results are documented in the report at hand.
